Suspect in string of burglaries around the Inland Northwest arrested in Hayden

HAYDEN, Idaho — The suspect in a string of burglaries around the Inland Northwest was arrested by deputies in Hayden.

According to a release from the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, 58-year-old Martin P. Nisley was arrested late Sunday night.

Deputies saw a vehicle that was listed as possibly being involved in several burglaries and thefts across the region. They stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Nisley.

Nisley was reportedly wearing the same clothes used to commit at least one burglary in Coeur d’Alene and had warrants out of Idaho and Colorado for similar charges.

Deputies took Nisley into custody for his active warrants and on local burglary charges.

According to the release, Nisley is believed to be the suspect in burglaries at Carrington College, Gonzaga University and the Mirabeau Park Hotel. He is also suspected of burglary in Coeur d’Alene, Lewiston and Hayden.
