Suspect arrested after vehicle pursuit through Post Falls
POST FALLS, Idaho — A suspect who fled from a Kootenai County Sheriff’s Deputy Thursday morning was arrested later in the day on an unrelated warrant.
At approximately 11:45 a.m., a deputy noticed a vehicle speeding at W. Seltice Way near N. Pleasent View Rd. The driver failed to pull over and a pursuit began through Post Falls and the west side of Kootenai County with speeds exceeding 100 mph.
While the deputy was waiting for an intersection to be safe to travel through, the suspect fled on foot from the vehicle after the car stopped working.
Post Falls Police and ISP assisted in setting up a perimeter while a K9 tracked the suspect, but no suspect was located at that time.
A short time later, however, that suspect was found and arrested on a warrant.
The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office has not released the name of that suspect.
