Study finds Connell as most affordable home in Washington State

SPOKANE, Wash. — Personal finance technology company SmartAsset conducted a study to find the ten most affordable places to live in Washington State.

The New York-based outfit drew their conclusion from criteria including closing costs, property taxes, median income, and average mortgage payments.

After considering the criteria, SmartAsset found that Connell, Washington, population 5,566, as the most affordable in the state.

The top ten ranks as follows:

  1. Connell
  2. Hoquiam
  3. Finley
  4. Quincy
  5. West Richland
  6. Town and Country
  7. Union Gap
  8. Toppenish
  9. Otis Orchards-East Farms
  10. West Side Highway
