Steph Curry in Pullman for Klay Thompson’s jersey retirement
PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State legend and 3x NBA champion Klay Thompson will see his jersey hung in the rafters in Beasley today at halftime of the WSU vs Oregon State game.
Thompson’s NBA MVP teammate Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors decided to fly in for the ceremony, along with Zaza Pachulia.
Nick Rolovich, WSU’s new head football coach is also in the building for the game, and may have his first recruit. Steph Curry had a customized football jersey waiting on his chair at the game.
Thompson arrived in Pullman on Friday, and practiced with the team one day after their upset of No. 8 Oregon on Thursday night. That was the first win over a top-10 program for Washington State since 2007.
