Star Trek IDIC Con lands in Hillyard
SPOKANE, Wash. — Mark your calendars for a different kind of Sci-Fi fantasy convention experience coming to Hillyard on Saturday, November 3.
“Star Trek has been celebrated by multiple generations for over 50 years going back to the 60’s, and it remains a fixture in the annals of pop culture,” said Council Member Mike Fagan. “What a way to have the young and the old together sharing something in common like Star Trek and the many iterations of the original,” he added.
The oldest Star Trek fan club in Spokane, the USS Bismarck, has been helping the Spokane community for more than 23 years. In just over a week, it will be realizing a long term goal of bringing the IDIC CON to the Northeast Community Center.
“The 1-day family friendly event will feature actors Aron Eisenberg, Chris Doohan, Screen Writer Kevin Decker, and TV/Movie Director Victoria Slater,” stated, Al Sandham, Captain of the USS Bismarck.
Al further added, “Speakers will interact with attendees, engage in role playing, and a gaming room and Sci-Fi apparel appreciation parade for both young and old alike will also be offered.”
WHEN: Saturday, November 3
TIME: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
WHERE: Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Cook Street
