STA to resume express services June 15
SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Transit Authority will resume express services starting on June 15.
Services have been reduced since April 6 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. STA is choosing to resume services as more people go back to work under phase 2 of the state’s reopening plan.
The following express routes will be reinstated on Monday, June 15:
- Route 124 – North Express
- Route 144 – South Express
- Route 172 – Liberty Lake Express
- Route 173 – Valley Transit Center Express
- Route 190 – Valley Express
All regular route trips cancelled due to suspended express service will also resume.
During the beginning of the pandemic, STA provided services to about 30 percent of its normal weekday ridership. Since phase 2 began, ridership increased to about 50 percent of normal weekday ridership.
