    Mariners have first Cactus League game washed away

    Mariners hitters managed to squeeze in 6 hits and 5 runs against the Oakland Athletics in a game that was rained out in the bottom of the second inning Thursday at Hohokam Stadium. Although the Cactus League lid lifter lasted under an hour, starting pitcher Marco Gonzales made the most of his appearance, pitching a scoreless first inning, bolstered by run support from second baseman Shed Long, left fielder Domingo Santana, catcher Omar Narváez and third baseman Dylan Moore.
