LOS ANGELES - They arrived in L.A. to clouds and rain, but the Zags are still anxious to get out on the court against the FSU Seminoles, a team that took out No. 1 Xavier to get to the Sweet Sixteen.
Corey Kispert: "Yeah it's interesting to fly in and kind of have it be raining, you know we kind of bring the weather with us. As a basketball player, as a competitor, you want to play in Staples Center where all the greats have played and really excited to finally get going and get ready for Florida State."
Josh Perkins: "I wanted to play the game right away, when I first got out here, I mean the weather's not as good as you want it to be in LA, but it's the second weekend of March, we're fortunate to be here, a lot of teams aren't, so no complaints our way."
Now that they're here, all their attention is on Florida State and how tough it's going to make every offensive possession.
Silas Melson: "Their defensive pressure is pretty high level and they're aggressive on defense and that leads to a lot of transition points, I think they're number one in the first weekend for transition points, and that explains a lot about them."
Zach Norvell Jr: "Like you said, they're really athletic, they've got some wings that can really jump can really space the floor as well and also bigs, their front line is huge, so just got to find ways to play around that and find a way to get a win."
