Spokane Valley woman charged with DUI in Pines Rd. crash
SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Troopers said a Spokane Valley woman has been charged with driving under the influence after she ran stop sign and caused a crash late Sunday night.
A release from the Washington State Patrol said 52-year-old Pamela K. Grinnell was driving westbound on 8th Avenue near Pines Road when she failed to stop at a stop sign.
A Hyundai Elentra struck Grinnell’s truck, which then left the road, struck the stop sign and a tree. WSP said Grinnell’s truck pushed the tree into two other parked cars before coming to a stop.
Both Grinnell and the Hyundai driver were taken to the hospital. Their injuries are not known.
WSP said the crash was caused by Grinnell failing to stop and charged her with DUI.
