SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man suspected of robbing the Petro gas station and hitting an employee with his car before driving off.

The sheriff’s office said deputies responded to a call on December 23 for a robbery at the gas station on 10506 W. Aero Rd in West Spokane County.

Once there, the employee said a red-haired man who looked around 25-30 years old grabbed roughly $3 worth of food from the roller grill and took off without paying.

The employee said she ran into the parking lot, yelling for the man to stop.

She told deputies he got into the driver’s seat of a white, two-door 90s Honda with a sunroof.

A blonde woman was sitting in the passenger seat, the employee said.

The employee stood in front of the car, trying to take a picture. She told deputies the driver pulled forward, nudging her, then accelerated, hitting her and causing her to land on the hood of the car.

He then hit the brakes, causing her to roll off the hood before he sped up, hitting her again before driving off.

Deputies are still searching for the man, and said he’s described as roughly 6 feet, 2 inches tall and around 200 pounds.

The employee said the car looked like it was full of property and garbage, like the suspect and the woman were possibly living in it.

The employee was treated for a sore knee and ankle, deputies said.

Anyone who has information is asked to call Detective Keyser at 509-477-6611 and reference case #10180094.
