Spokane Sidewalk Games returns for third year

Spokane Sidewalk Games have seen 92,000 participants since it’s start in 2016 and this summer, they are back for year 3!

Sidewalk Games aims to connect different people in our community through fun, family games like “Connect Four” and checkers, as well as support and employ homeless youth through a partnership with Crosswalk Teen Shelter. The job gives teens the chance to experience a job interview and add something to their resume.

If you’d like to join in on the fun and play, head to the Kendall yards night market from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. or River Park Square afternoons Wednesday through Sunday.

The project is in need of volunteers to mentor the teens and assist with games. To find out more, email organizer Ryan Oelrich.
