Spokane School District recognized as a National Board Accomplished District
SPOKANE, Wash.– Spokane Public Schools has been recognized as a National Board Accomplished District.
The National Board of Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) named SPS just one of 79 districts to the honor.
The NBPTS recognizes school districts across the country who promote student learning through well-known teachings. With this, at least 20% of its teachers are required to be National Board certified to receive the award. SPS has over 400 teachers certified.
SPS is one of 25 school districts in Washington to receive the award. Moses Lake School District, East Valley School District and Highland School District are three districts that received the honor with SPS.
