Spokane Public Schools Wants Your Ideas On How To Save Money
Spokane Public Schools needs to trim somewhere between $9-$12 million from its budget and is hoping you’ll fill out a survery about what you think could save the district money.
Suggestions already range from eliminating before and after school activities to limitting high school electives.
There are some ideas that won’t be considered such as shortening the school year, reducing the number of principals or eliminating counselors.
The amount the district will have to cut depends on how much money the state trims from the education budget.
