Spokane police officer transforms patrol car into Batmobile

Some lucky Spokane elementary school students had a visit from a very special guest Tuesday morning.

A Spokane police officer took it upon himself to transform his patrol car into the Batmobile Tuesday. Officer Scott Hice has a 7-year-old son who loves Batman, and decided it would be fun to visit elementary schools dressed as the caped crusader.

However, as Scott Hice found out, it wasn’t just kids who wanted to hang out with Batman.

“A lot of people, they want to take pictures, you know, I put them in the back,” said Officer Hice. “The older kids and adults, they want to look through the bars. So I’ll stand next to the car, they’ll look through the bars. It’s great, it’s fun.”

Officer Hice plans on riding around downtown Tuesday night handing out candy.
