Spokane Police officer placed on leave for allegedly using excessive force
SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Police Department announced Friday that one of its officers was placed on administrative leave for allegedly using excessive force during a police pursuit.
According to a release, the officer used an unnessecary amount of force during the pursuit of a suspect who allegedly assaulted a police officer and resisted arrest.
SPD said an internal exessive force complaint has been issued, and the officer will remain on administrative leave while the County investigates.
