Spokane Police investigating woman for licking produce, touching meat at Rosauers

Spokane Police are investigating reports of a woman seen licking produce at the 5 Mile Rosauers.

A witness says it happened between May 8th and 9th. He says the woman also touched her face, then touched between 20 and 30 pre-packaged packets of raw meat.

Police say the woman is in her early 20s, about 5’5” tall, with short red hair.

The witness believes the store has video of the incident.

President and CEO of Rosauers Jeff Philipps responded to the reports on Saturday, saying the witness’ statement is “one hundred percent inaccurate.”

“The woman is seen on video surveillance in a safety vest, not doing anything the witness said,” Jeff Philipps, president and CEO of Rosauers, said. “What she did do was touch the crate of apples when she walked in, not the apples themselves.”
