Spokane Police Department bringing back self-defense classes

SPOKANE, Wash. — There’s never a bad time to learn how to protect yourself.

The Spokane Police Department invites you to join a self-defense class this Saturday.

It’s the first time the department is hosting in-person classes in more than two years.

Learn how to protect yourself with hands-on training in defensive tactic techniques taught in realistic scenarios.

The class also includes instruction on crime statistics, situational awareness and survival mindset.

It takes place at the Spokane Police Academy (2302 N Waterworks St.) on Saturday, May 7 from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

The class costs $25 to attend.
