Spokane Police arrest 16-time convicted felon on burglary charges
SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Police PACT arrested 16-time convicted felon, 45-year-old William H. Lister, on burglary charges.
Police began a burglary investigation on Lister on May 8, after they received information that Lister was committing burglaries in Spokane County, and looking for residents that left for work early in the morning.
PACT officers established probable cause to charge Lister with a burglary that happened in the area of 2300 W. Clarke Avenue. Lister stole over $3,000 worth of tools that the homeowner used to make a living.
PACT determined that Lister had taken the stolen property to an apartment at 12700 E. Main Avenue. SWAT and a K9 Unit assisted in serving a search warrant at the apartment.
Lister tried to run away from police, but the K9 Unit was able to arrest him.
PACT recovered the stolen property at the apartment, along with a rifle and other property believed to have been stolen. Lister is not able to legally possess a firearm due to his felony convictions.
He was booked into the Spokane County Jail for Residential Burglary, and Theft 1st degree.
Lister has 16 felony convictions to include Manslaughter 2nd degree, Deliver Firearms, Attempt to Elude, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Criminal Mischief-Deadly Weapon. Lister also has 6 gross misdemeanor convictions.
