Spokane, North Idaho celebrating National Night Out on Tuesday

SPOKANE, Wash. — Cities in the Inland Northwest and local agencies are celebrating National Night Out, a nationwide community-police awareness-raising event.

Local law enforcement will be out to meet with communities, with fun activities planned throughout the night.

Downtown Spokane and the Riverside Neighborhood Council are holding an event from Spokane Falls Blvd to Main Avenue. There will be booths, ice cream, games, and of course, Spokane Police officers. The event runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

There will also be another National Night Out event in the West Central Neighborhood at A.M. Cannon Park. This event, hosted by C.O.P.S. West, has a live band, vendors, and family fun, along with Spokane SANTA and Mrs. C. It also runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Lastly, the city Rathdrum, Idaho is hosting a NNO in collaboration with Rathdrum Parks and Recreation and the Rathdrum Police Department. The event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 5400 W Majestic Ave. near Majestic Park.
