Spokane Humane Society hosting ‘Help a Vet, Help a Pet’ fundraiser for #GivingTuesdayNow

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Humane Society is asking for your help this #GivingTuesdayNow to support an animal in need. 

If you’re thinking wait, Giving Tuesday is typically after Thanksgiving, you’re not wrong. The idea of #GivingTuesdayNow was created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The global day of giving will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 5, and is an opportunity for community members to come together and support one another during difficult times. 

Animals throughout the Pacific Northwest need help now more than ever, it says in a release from the Spokane Humane Society. 

The organization is now accepting donations through its ‘Help a Vet, Help a Pet’ fundraiser. 

By donating $25, the Humane Society says you can help provide a wellness service for a dog or cat.
