Spokane group plans lightsaber vigil for Carrie Fisher
SPOKANE, Wash. — The Galactic Alliance Star Wars Costume Club is planning a “saberlight” vigil for actress Carrie Fisher on Friday.
Fisher, best known for playing Princess Leia in the Star Wars franchise, died on December 27 after suffering a cardiac episode on a flight from London to Los Angeles.
Friday night’s event will take place at the clock tower in Riverfront Park at 8 p.m.
According to the Facebook event invite, “sabers and costumes are greatly encouraged but are not required to attend this event.”
