Spokane golf courses open today: what you need to know
SPOKANE, Wash. — Local golf courses reopen Tuesday with certain restrictions in place.
If you are itching to get back on the greens, you need to book your tee-time in advance.
Spokane Parks and Recreation says courses are nearly booked full Tuesday as well as this weekend.
Groups are limited to two people and unless your golfing partner lives in the same house, you’ll have to drive separate golf carts. Golfers will not be able to remove flag sticks and food/drinks at clubhouses will be served to go.
“We think it’s a sport that’s great for social distancing and gives the customers an opportunity to have a little recreation after being stuck inside for a long time,” said Colin McMahon, Creek at Qualchan Head Golf Professional. “This is all new to everyone as we go through this with golfers being two-somes only. It’s new for us in the pro-shop as well so we’re just asking that our customers be patient with us and that we’re all in this together.”
