Spokane Falls brings tourists to Spokane
The amazing view of the Spokane Falls is bringing a lot of tourists to Spokane.
Anthony’s has really benefited from this impressive spring runoff.
The restaurant says they have been so crowded with people coming out to get one of the best views of the falls.
Whether you’ve lived a long life, or are just getting started, this year’s spring runoff at Spokane Falls is an impressive sight.
Margaret Herron has lived in Spokane for 30 years. She saw the falls on the news, but had to come check them out for herself.
“Everyone’s coming down to see it and the weather is gorgeous today,” she said.
On the other side of the river, more people gather to admire the water.
Gene Stuckle came over from Davenport today, just for this.
But with the suspension bridges closed, the best view might be right here.
“They just shut the bridges down on Monday, which brings more our way,” said Andrew Miller, Anthony’s General Manager.
All week the restaurant with the perfect view of the falls has been packed.
“We’re getting a lot of business walking in,” said Miller. “We just have the luxury of that beautiful river and the water that’s flowing.”
And if you’re thinking of stopping by for a cocktail sometime soon, make sure to make a reservation.
Anthony’s is even booking out mid-week lunch reservations 2 or 3 days in advance.
Haven’t come down to see the falls yet?
“Well you better get here and look at it because it isn’t going to be here in July,” said Miller.
Anthony’s is hoping to open up their best view in the house very soon, their patio!
They hope that if the weather cooperates they’ll be opening that outdoor seating at the beginning of April.
