Spokane County’s K9 Laslo passes away
SPOKANE, Wash. — One of Spokane County’s most beloved K9s passed away Friday morning.
K9 Laslo hung up his harness last year after four years of service tracking down bad guys alongside his handler, Cpl. Jeff Thurman of the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.
On his last shift, he captured four suspects charged with multiple crimes. Those people were among hundreds that Laslo helped catch.
According to a Facebook post, he died early Friday morning. The post went on to say “there will be a piece of my heart always missing. To the best partner I ever had, R.I.P.”
It’s been widely known that Laslo was experiencing seizures earlier this year.
