Spokane County a likely destination for those leaving Seattle
SPOKANE, Wash. — A new study in the Seattle Times lists Spokane County as the fifth most likely county people will go to when they leave Seattle.
Homelessness, property crime, and the high cost of living are some of the reasons driving people to leave the city.
Spokane County is behind Snohomish, Pierce, Los Angeles, and Whatcom Counties.
While Seattle is known as a big city for millennials to head to, they’re also the biggest group that’s leaving.
Nearly half of those moving out are aged 18-24.
