Spokane city pools to reopen soon!

SPOKANE, Wash. — Temperatures are getting warmer and the weather is getting better, which means it’s time to head to the pool and get your swim on!

During this 2022 aquatics season, multiple pools are open for the public to enjoy. Pool season began in Spokane on May 9 with its preseason lap schedule, which runs until June 17. There is a $6 per hour fee at the Witter Aquatic Center, where individuals ages 16 and older can swim Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in their 50 meter lanes. 

The regular season lap swim schedule runs from June 20 to August 26. If you’re looking to swim laps, here is where and when you can swim:

Witter Aquatic Center: 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Monday through Friday in their 50 meter lanes

Comstock Aquatic Center from 5:45-7:30 a.m. Monday to Thursday, 6-8:15 a.m. on Friday and 7:30-9:45 a.m. on Saturday in their 50 meter lanes.

Shadle Aquatic Center from 10:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday in their 25 yard lanes. 

Open Swim will also be available during the regular season lap swim schedule. Afternoon open swim will be open for all aquatic centers from 1-4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Evening open swim is available on Comstock, AM Cannon and Hillyard Aquatic Centers from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and Liberty and Shadle Aquatic Centers from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Postseason lap schedule will be from August 29 to September 16 at Witter from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at their 50 meter lanes.
