Spokane chef Chad White up for James Beard award

SPOKANE, Wash. — If you have never been to Zona Blanca, you better go now.
The ceviche restaurant, located in downtown Spokane, now has a James Beard-nominated head chef.
Chef Chad White was recently named a semi-finalist for best chef in the Pacific Northwest region.
White opened Zona Blanca in 2016 after competing on Top Chef. The restaurant not only features ceviche, but tortas and the well-loved Dorilocos, a street snack from Mexico City.
It’s located inside the Steel Barrel taproom, which is an incubator brewing space shared by Little Spokane Brewing Co. and Young Buck Brewing.
Those looking to try White’s delicious creations can visit Zona Blanca at 154 South Madison, or visit one of his other restaurants — TT’s Old Iron Brewery and High Tide Lobster Bar.
