SPOKANE, Wash. — A standoff with a fugitive drug dealer in Spokane’s Chief Garry Park neighborhood ended with an arrest late Thursday night.

U.S. Marshals and a Spokane Police SWAT Team spent several hours on the scene near the intersection of Regal and Sinto Thursday night.

Chief Deputy Marshal Gavin Duffy said the suspect, Jeffrey Matlock, is from Eastern Washington and authorities have been looking for him for several days.

Spokane Police and the SWAT team called Matlock’s name over a loud speaker at the scene, saying he was under arrest and they were not leaving.

Matlock was booked into jail just after 2 a.m. Friday.

This is a developing story.
