SPD seize heroin, cash, and handgun, arrest wanted felon during traffic stop
SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Police arrested a wanted felon with seven outstanding warrants, and seized drugs and a gun during a traffic stop Tuesday morning.
On June 26, around 3:40 a.m., a SPD graveyard patrol officer stopped a vehicle near Napa Street and Springfield Avenue, for no license plates and an altered temporary permit. There were multiple people in the vehicle.
Officer Bruner learned that a male passenger, 38-year-old Kenneth W. McBride, had seven outstanding felony warrants for his arrest.
The officer arrested McBride, who was also in possession of heroin, syringes, and a scale.
More drugs and drug paraphernalia were seen inside the vehicle. The vehicle was seized and the other occupants released.
After a search warrant was obtained, the warrant was served on Wednesday. Heroin, cash, drug packaging, and a semi-automatic handgun were found inside.
The investigation is ongoing, and warrants may be issued.
