SPD looking to identify hit-and-run driver who hit child
SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the vehicle and driver involved in a hit-and-run collision which injured a child late Friday night.
Witnesses called reporting that a vehicle had hit a young pedestrian at the intersection of 29th and Freya. Those witnesses say the child, a pre-teen male, was walking a younger child across the street on the sidewalk. The suspect vehicle ran a stop sign at the intersection, struck the older child, and fled the scene.
The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.
The suspect vehicle is described as a late 80’s to early 90’s, dark-colored, four-door sedan with tinted windows and driver’s side front end damage caused by the collision. It was last seen northbound on Freya.
