South Carolina student’s death sparks Uber, Lyft safety concerns
COLUMBIA, South Carolina — Police in Columbia, South Carolina suspect a college student was killed by a man she thought was her Uber driver.
21-year-old Samantha Josephson was last seen on security video getting into a car, which she thought was an Uber, early Friday morning. Her body was found over the weekend in a field. Police charged 24-year-old Nathaniel Rowland with kidnapping and murder and said they found Josephson’s cell phone and blood in his car.
