CHINA — China said today that it will abandon its controversial “one child policy” and allow all couples to have two children, effectively ending its population control rule.
The policy had been in place for more than three decades. It was meant to control population growth, but now China is dealing with an aging workforce and an economic slowdown.
What do you think of the policy change? Should the government control the population by limiting the number of children citizens can have? Or is it necessary?
