Sonia Pederson, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, passed away January 28, 2018 in Spokane, Washington at the age of 85. She was born April 30, 1932 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Verl and Caroline (Smoyer) Campbell. She grew up in an active home with six siblings (Dan, Mickey, Geri, Lewis, Shirley and Billee), and often told of how her older sister Geri would stick up for her and fight her battles. Sonia loved raising Arabian horses and competing in shows with them. She was a talented seamstress, and her family remembers the fun she had making her special waffles and pancakes. She appreciated spending time with her family and friends, and always enjoyed traveling. Sonia worked for many years as a psychiatric technician, and later ran a home for developmentally disabled adults.
Sonia’s memory will be cherished by her surviving family, her spouse, Dick Lyman; children, Kip Larsen, Keith Hinton, Marc Lyman; grandchildren, Justice Larsen, Shannon Gulick; great grandchildren, Vanessa Larsen, Elisabeth Gulick, Aaron Ashby, Destiny Larsen, Samantha Larsen, Lainy Larsen; great-great grandchild, Jordyn Coulter; and her brother, Dan Campbell.
No public services will be planned.
