Solar project brings over 150 summer jobs to Lind
LIND, Wash. — Over 150 summer construction jobs are coming to the small town of Lind, about an hour southwest of Spokane.That’s enough jobs for more than 25 percent of the town’s population.
On Monday, the Adams County Development Council held a hiring event for the new Strata Solar Project that will be built there, which will be the largest solar farm in the state.
The company, Swinerton Renewable Energy, plans to install the 81,000 solar panels.
Avista will buy the electricity and sell it to large commercial and industrial customers.
The solar farm could be generating renewable power by mid-December.
