Social media threat prompts extra patrols at Cheney High School
CHENEY, Wash. — Cheney Police are adding extra patrols at Cheney High School Friday morning, due to a threat made over social media.
Someone contacted police around 9:30 p.m.Thursday, saying they’d received a disturbing message through social media that warned students from “TCHS” of a rumor of a possible attack Friday.
Cheney Police worked to identify the source of the message and determined the threat does not appear to be credible.
However, extra patrols have been assigned to Cheney High School as a precaution.
