Social justice icons to speak at GU
SPOKANE, Wash — She was an originator of the “Me Too” movement and he helped break the Harvey Weinstein story. You can hear from them both, live in Spokane.
Social justice advocate and one of Time Magazine’s Persons of the Year, Tarana Burke and journalist, lawyer and author Ronan Farrow will share perspectives of their work at the April 20 Presidential Speaker Series at Gonzaga University. GU says this event provides an opportunity to engage with leaders at the forefront of this social justice movement, to better understand the phenomenon of sexual abuse, and to more deeply appreciate the profound cultural change the #MeToo movement represents.
