Soap Lake boil order cancelled, water is safe to drink
SOAP LAKE, Wash. — The City of Soap Lake has lifted an order for residents to boil their water before consuming. The boil order was put into place on October 3, and lifted on Tuesday.
Crews have resolved the water main breaks that led to the boil order.
According to the Soap Lake Police Department, two of the breaks were service lines to residences.
Earlier on Thursday, the city of Soap Lake asked residents to boil their tap water as crews responded to the multiple breaks.
In a Facebook post, a spokesperson with the police department said, “We understand that no one can plan for this, but I can guarantee the response you are getting is the best possible.”
