Snowing on Snoqualmie Pass, Stevens Pass
Be prepared for winter travel over Snoqualmie and Stevens Pass on Wednesday.
As of Wednesday afternoon, it was snowing on both passes with chain required on all vehicles over 10,000 pounds on Snoqualmie Pass.
Traction tires were advised for all vehicles. At one point chains were required on non-all-wheel drive vehicles on Snoqualmie Pass. There was snow, slush and ice on the roadway with travel time between Ellensburg and North Bend taking an extra 30 minutes more than average.
It will be a rain-snow mix for the rest of Wednesday on Snoqualmie and Stevens Pass for the rest of the day, turning to snow tonight.
