Snow returns Tuesday
SPOKANE, Wash. — A winter weather advisory is in effect for the Spokane area and a winter storm warning is in effect for the Idaho Pandhandle.
There will be scattered snow showers in the Spokane region picking up intensity in the early evening.
“We could see heavy snow this evening with several inches of snow on the ground,” said KXLY4’s Mark Peterson. “But then around midnight, warm winds will move into the area and turn everything to rain.”
In Pend Oreille and Stevens County, along with the Idaho Panhandle, two to four inches of snow is expected to fall by Wednesday morning.
Tuesday morning, travel across Washington was good with no restriction on Snoqualmie Pass and traction tires advised on Stevens Pass.
In Idaho, Lookout Pass and 4th of July Pass were clear but wet. Driver’s are advised to watch for icy patches.
