Snow plows work around the clock to clear roads
SPOKANE, Wash. — As most people get ready for bed, those in charge of keeping roadways clear of snow and ice are just beginning their days.
Brant Collier is a plow truck driver and maintenance inspector for the City of Spokane Valley. With the recent snow fall, Collier is working a 14 hour shift to clear snow from hills and main arterial streets around Spokane Valley. In one shift, Collier will plow more than 130 miles of roadways.
“I just like clearing the roads actually, ” said Brant Collier, plow truck driver with the City of Spokane Valley.
“The work is good the work is fun,” said Collier.
Collier enjoys his work and takes great pride knowing he is making a difference.
“There’s a lot of people that have to be able to get to their doctors appointments, pick up medications or even get to the hospital. Without us non of that stuff takes place,” said Collier
