On Thursday afternoon, temperatures will warm to the point that the next round of wet weather will be rain or a rain/snow mix in Spokane and Coeur d’Alene, with little, if any, additional snow accumulation.
Temperatures continue to warm into the mid 40s on Friday, melting the snow and bringing all rain to most valley locations.
The mountains are another story. Heavy snow measured in feet will fall through Friday morning.
A WINTER STORM WARNING has been issued from the east slopes of the northern Cascades through the Northern Panhandle.
Drier, colder weather is on the way for next workweek.
