Snoqualmie Pass reopens in both directions after being closed for several days

Snoqualmie Pass has now reopened after being closed for more than two days.

As of 4:00 a.m. Thursday, you can finally head both directions on I-90 through the Cascades.

The pass closed from Ellensburg to North Bend Monday night for heavy snow and avalanche danger. Eastbound lanes reopened Wednesday afternoon with traffic only allowed through in groups of a few hundred cars at 35 mph. Westbound lanes were reopened early Thursday.

As of right now, traction tires are advised and no oversize vehicles are being let through. WSDOT wants to remind drivers to watch for snow removal equipment and areas of narrow roadway. Officials say many of the on and off ramps from Easton to North Bend remain blocked by deep snow. Check the latest conditions here.
