Smile Mobile offers free dental work in Spokane this week

The Smile Mobile dental clinic, operated by Arcora Foundation in partnership with Delta Dental of Washington, is coming to Spokane and will offer free dental service for all adults in need of dental care from October 5-7 at the Salvation Army.

Services that will be provided will include x-rays, teeth cleaning, fillings and simple extractions. Bridges, crowns, dentures, complex extractions, implants, orthodontics, root canals, sedation and teeth whitening will not be included.

For patient safety, blood pressure and glucose must be within certain limits to receive dental service.

The SmileMobile will be also be offering free dental services to pregnant and post partum women, on Apple Health, from October 3-4. The van will be located at the Spokane Regional Health District at 1101 W. College Avenue on those days.

Going do the dentist during pregnancy can help ensure a healthy pregnancy and greatly reduces the chance a baby will get cavities during the first few years of life. A child who avoids cavities early in life enjoys a lifetime of better oral health.
