SkyFest 2019 coming to Fairchild Air Force Base
SPOKANE, Wash. — If you have a need for speed, start planning for SkyFest 2019 at Fairchild Air Force Base.
The United State Air Force announced Monday, February 4, that Fairchild will once again host the airshow and open house.
The base will open its gates on June 22, and let everyone see America’s air power.
On tap for the day, the F-22 Demonstration Team, U.S. Air Force Academy Wings of Blue parachute team, U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team, a heritage flight, and one of Fairchild’s very own KC-135 Stratotankers performing a low-pass air refueling fly-by demonstration.
“We are very excited to welcome our Inland Northwest neighbors to Fairchild Air Force Base for this year’s Skyfest,” said Col. Derek Salmi, 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander. “It’s just one of the many ways we can say thank you to our community for their tremendous support while at the same time showcasing some great Air Force combat capabilities and even greater Airmen.”
