Silverwood, Boulder Beach to open Saturday with safety precautions in place

ATHOL, Idaho — Warm weather is on the way for the weekend, which has prompted Silverwood Theme Park to open Boulder Beach on Saturday.

The theme park was already scheduled to open for the season, but now folks can hit the water slides and float the lazy river.

The state of Idaho approved the theme park to open, but restrictions in light of COVID-19 will be in place.

“Safety is our number one priority, and that is why we have developed extensive social distancing and cleaning protocols to reduce the risks to guests and employees as much as possible during their time at the park,” officials at the theme park posted online.

Complimentary masks will be available for guests when they arrive. Additionally, all employees will be given a CopperSafe mask and will be required to wear them for the entirety of their shifts.

Silverwood will also be operating at a controlled and reduced capacity in order to maintain social distancing. In order to control capacity, all tickets sold will be reservation only and require you to select your date of visit. People are encouraged to purchase their tickets online.
