Showers and isolated thunderstorms for Thursday, needed rain for the weekend -Kris
Tomorrow is EARTH DAY, and our atmosphere is going to wake up and celebrate with us. A cold front will drop over the region tonight, bringing an increase in clouds and a slight chance of showers, mainly in North Idaho. Thursday will start out with a mix of sun and clouds but expect scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms from mid-afternoon through the evening. Temperatures will top out in the mid 60s.
The dry, sunny weather returns for one day on Friday. A ridge of high pressure will build in briefly. However, a trough approaching from the west will bring a chance for showers by Friday night. Expect more widespread precipitation on Saturday with lingering showers on Sunday. Meanwhile, the weekend will also be cooler, with highs in the mid 50s, and breezy. We will see a few hit and miss showers on Monday, and then a quick break on Tuesday. Another round of wet weather is expected starting mid-week.
