Shop artisan cheese, meats and wine at new downtown Spokane shop
SPOKANE, Wash. — “It’s not quite a deli, but not quite a restaurant,” said owner Amber Park.
It’s also not a bistro or wine bar. Instead, Wanderlust Delicato will combine the best parts of each. The new spot will offer a variety of charcuterie board fixings, cheese plates, baguette sandwiches and wine for shoppers to take home, while also offering a diverse menu that customers can enjoy right in the shop.
Park is a native of Eastern Washington, but has spent lots of time traveling abroad. Her passion for travel and exploration gave Wanderlust its name, and now, she wants to share her love of adventure with her hometown.
“When you travel, you really get a feel for their culture, their food, their wine, their terroir, all these pieces come together,” said Park.
Park said she wants to use her space as a way to introduce Spokane to its global neighbors, and plans to do so through her products, but also through cooking classes.
“Maybe it’s someone from Kenya showing their traditional dish, or a French person living in Spokane who wants to make their quiche,” said Park.
Park said she will bring in rotating instructors, chefs and culinary experts to help teach classes for the community to enjoy.
Wanderlust Delicato’s grand opening is set for June and will be open Tuesday through Sunday. For more information, take a look at their Facebook page.
