Shock Open Doors For Scrimmage

Shock crush Kiss, despite injury to Meyer

Andy Olson was in the spotlight as fans got their first in-person look at the 2012 Spokane Shock.

The team opened the doors to the Shock Center to about 1,000 season ticket holders.  Fans started showing up an hour and a half before the scrimmage started.

As for the Shock, it was just their 4th day in pads.  Erik Meyer took the first string snaps and led the Shock to scores on their first few drives.

Olson said he was happy with the progress that the team has made at wide receiver, and also liked the adjustments made by the defense.

As for having a crowd in the building, Meyer said it brought an extra element to the scrimmage.

Spokane plays its first game on March 12th at Spokane Arena against the Iowa Barnstormers.
