Shining Star Senior Night: Pomeroy’s Wolf, Mary Walker’s Kitt

SPOKANE, Wash. — While the world of sports is unpredictable right now, we are continuing to honor local senior athletes every night on 4 News Now.

They deserve the recognition, as their senior nights or senior days will not happen after the spring sports season was canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Alyssa Wolf: A three-sport athlete at Pomeroy high school, Alyssa has played softball for nearly her entire life. Her other sports are basketball and volleyball. Her coach Jessica nominated her and says she’s gotten stronger and stronger every year. Alyssa played third base primarily, but would’ve started at second this year. She was part of their 2017 state championship team. Jessica says Alyssa has always been coach-able and has a kind heart. She puts her heart and soul into everything.

Avery Kitt: This senior from Springdale, Wash. also plays three sports for Mary Walker high school. Kitt plays football, where he was a WIAA player of the week in 2019, basketball and baseball. His baseball season will go down as a question mark, but he has put everything into being a Charger, and never does anything at less than full effort.
