Shining Star Senior Night: Gonzaga Prep’s Horn
SPOKANE, Wash. — The final weekend of Shining Star Senior Night means an end to a segment that’s honored over 300 local senior athletes who never got their spring sport senior night.
On Saturday, we honor a Gonzaga Prep Bullpup.
Kathleen Horn: This two-sport athlete also goes by “KK” and was nominated by a few different family friends. She has a near perfect 3.97 GPA, and played volleyball for the Bullpups, but the final season of her main sport, track and field, was canceled. Kathleen is exceptional at throwing the javelin. As a district and regional champ, she’s also placed fourth and second at state. She won’t get the chance to take home gold in 2020, but she’ll take her talent to the University of Washington next year on scholarship to Compete for the Huskies. She plans to study biology.
